Spend a relaxing moment surrounded by art and nature. The Four Seasons exhibition features nature-themed paintings and ceramic reliefs by Joonas Vähäsöyrinki, an artist inspired by the magnificent nature of the North.

The cycle of the year in nature — spring, summer, autumn, and winter. How many different observations can be made while moving through nature! Light and colors change with the temperature. Nature is a wonderful source of inspiration and subject matter for the artist.

Oil paintings and ceramic reliefs

Joonas Vähäsöyrinki paints nature in the style of the Impressionists, exploring the effects of light. His oil paintings on canvas are a play of colors on a two-dimensional surface. Their effect is sometimes mosaic-like, reminiscent of ceramic reliefs. Clay as a natural material, along with glazed ceramics, enables the creation of beautiful three-dimensional surfaces that reflect light and cast shadows. Together, the paintings and ceramic reliefs form intriguing pairs that depict the diversity of nature in different ways.
